Our Mission

To promote and celebrate the arts in Plainfield -  highlighting its variety, multiculturalism, and rich historical legacy;  and, to support community growth and engagement through arts and culture.

Our Goals

  • Identify and promote collaboration between artists and art organizations.
  • Foster an appreciation of culturural and artistic diversity.
  • Support the arts through marketing and visibility initiatives, including promoting via social media.
  • Promote the economic development of Plainfield by attracting visitors through arts and culture venues and activities.
  • Commemorate Plainfield's historical legacy by identifying and celebrating past artists
  • Establish an attractive and inclusive Performing and Visual Arts Center

The 1967 Plainfield Rebellion - A Retrospective

Come see this film which is a work in progress.  Meet the writer/director, Alrick Brown.    Alrick  is a Plainfield High School graduate.  He graduated from Rutgers University with a BA in English and a Masters of Education.  He received his MFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.  He is now Assistant Professor of Undergraduate Film and Television.
